About the Author
SHANNON GALE has been named a Top 20 Inspiring Women to Watch Out for in 2025 by NY Weekly magazine.
Shannon E. Gale, award-winning author, holistic healer, and professional ballet dancer, spent decades suffering with a miserable, unexplained, invisible, chronic illness.
Then in 2023, she made an astonishing discovery: the same flexibility that helped make her a beautiful dancer was present not only in her joints but also in most other tissues in her body. It was responsible for seemingly unrelated symptoms like migraine, digestive problems, chronic pain, and chemical sensitivities; she learned that her flexible relatives and friends also shared some of these symptoms.
Gale set to work developing a protocol based on her holistic healing experience and backed up by scientific literature. Within a few months, she had left her chronic illness behind. She shared what she had learned with her relatives and friends, and they began to experience improvements as well.
Gale wrote a groundbreaking book, Hypermobile and Happy, which is the first to make all of these connections and offer solutions. Today, Gale is raising awareness of hypermobility-related conditions so that others do not have to suffer any longer.
